MKR Property is delighted to announce the acquisition of the former Natural Kitchen restaurant at St Katharine Docks, London E1 on behalf of independent Chinese restaurant operator Banquet 88.
The transaction involved the acquisition of the lease for the substantial waterfront restaurant premises located within one of London’s most attractive marina and leisure destinations.
St Katharine Docks has become an increasingly sought-after hospitality location, benefitting from a strong mix of office occupiers, residential density, tourism and destination-led leisure operators, together with excellent proximity to Tower Bridge and the City of London.
The location is also expected to benefit from the forthcoming opening of the new Chinese Embassy nearby at the former Royal Mint Court site, which is anticipated to further increase activity and international footfall within the immediate area over the coming years.
Banquet 88 plans to introduce a high-quality Chinese dining concept to the location, further enhancing the diverse food and beverage offering within the docks.
Marc Rogers of MKR Property commented:
“Opportunities within St Katharine Docks are extremely limited and the former Natural Kitchen premises represented a rare chance to secure a large waterfront restaurant in a highly desirable London location. With the continued regeneration of the surrounding area together with the future opening of the Chinese Embassy nearby, we believe the location has exceptionally strong long-term fundamentals.”
