Former Marugame Udon Site In St Christopher’s Place Bond Street Acquired For Junk Burger

4th March, 2025

MKR Property is pleased to announce the acquisition of the former Marugame Udon premises in St Christopher’s Place, London W1 on behalf of rapidly growing burger operator Junk Burger.

The acquisition further strengthens the brand’s presence within Central London, with St Christopher’s Place widely regarded as one of the West End’s most established restaurant and leisure destinations, benefitting from exceptionally strong footfall and close proximity to Oxford Street and Bond Street.

Junk Burger has quickly built a strong following through its bold branding, high-energy fit outs and premium smash burger offering, with the business continuing to expand across London.

The transaction involved the acquisition of the existing restaurant premises, formerly occupied by international noodle chain Marugame Udon, allowing the brand to secure a highly prominent position within the estate.

Marc Rogers of MKR Property commented:

“St Christopher’s Place remains one of the most tightly held restaurant pitches in the West End and opportunities within the estate are rare. Junk Burger is an exciting operator with significant momentum behind the brand and we are delighted to have secured this site on their behalf, our third for the brand following on from Junk 49 Old Compton Street and Puffy next door at 45 Old Compton Street.”

MKR Property acted on behalf of Junk Burger.
