Gourmet Burger Kitchen, 49 St Peter's Street Canterbury.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK), the Capricorn Ventures-backed group has secured the former Picture House at 49 St Peter's Street Canterbury off The Restaurant Group (TRG).

Marc Rogers at MKR Property negotiated a simultaneous surrender of the TRG lease and grant of a new one at circa £78k per annum together with 12 months rent free. Graham Campbell at Fleurets acted for TRG.

Stephen Evans property director at GBK commented - "we have had an outstanding requirement for Canterbury for some time and are delighted that MKR Property found us a site that provides the perfect mix of students, tourist, shoppers and theatre goers that maximises our opportunity in Canterbury. We are pleased to have this in our pipeline for next year."

GBK are due to open the 2,500 sq ft restaurant in the summer.
