Cult East London buttermilk fried chicken operator Butchies coming to Clapham High Street

London's best fried chicken operator Butchies have secured the former VQ at 122 Clapham High Street. MKR Property acted on behalf of Butchies.

One of London's best-fried chicken restaurants is heading south - launching a new restaurant in Clapham. They had started a delivery-only kitchen in Battersea during the lockdown, but now they're opening the real deal on Clapham High Street.

If you're unfamiliar with them, they started in markets before opening their first restaurant in Shoreditch. For them, it's all about their special-recipe buttermilk fried chicken and burgers on the menu include:

The Original with house pickles and Butchies "OG" sauce
Cheesy Rider served with cheese dripping, house pickles and Butchies’ Sriracha chili sauce
Jenny from the Block with guacamole, chipotle mayo and smoked streaky bacon
The Vegan “OG” Burger, with plant-based fried chicken, vegan “OG” sauce and house pickles (£7).
All that and tenders, wings and popcorn chicken alongside "hot shake" fries (with a hot chicken salt and spice blend), cheese fries and halloumi fries and a new "shorty meal" for kids.
